A Snowmobiler's Holiday Gift Guide

"All I want for Christmas is DSG," she said. Whether you know little or everything about winter sports, treat the lady on your list to the best in comfort and winter technology with the gift of gear from DSG Outerwear...

For the Backcountry Rider: Spectrum Technical Drop Seat Monosuit

With the backcountry rider in mind, the Spectrum Technical Drop Seat Monosuit packs an abundance of technology and research into the perfect uninsulated monosuit. The Sympatex®️ material, made in Germany, is a superior material for wind and waterproofing in technical gear. Each piece undergoes 48-hour rain chamber testing. Seal taped seams and Aqua Guard zippers ensure leakage protection, while two way stretch lining increases breathability. Additional features of the monosuit include: an adjustable snap inseam, removable neoprene knee pads, vents for temperature regulation, and the must-have drop seat. These monosuits are available in sizes XS-3XL.

Complete the look: The Avid 2.0 Technical Boot is available in sizes 6-11. These snow boots have a stiff feel for foot and ankle protection that breaks in quickly. The Intuition liner molds and forms to your foot and is the biggest reason why it’s so comfortable after a brief break-in time.

For the trail rider: Trail Elite Jacket

While maintaining a feminine, slim, sleek design, the Trail Elite Jacket still manages to maximize warmth while trail riding. Equipped with 200 grams of Primaloft® Insulation in the body, 157 grams in the sleeves, and an exterior waterproof, breathable coating. Taped seams prevent leakage, while underarm vents enable temperature regulation. Reflective piping increase nighttime safety, while interior adjustment components maximize fit customization for any body type. Available in black or red and sizes XS-5XL.

Complete the set: Utilizing the same technology as the Trail Elite Jacket, the Trail Elite Drop Seat Bib provides riders with adjustable waist tabs, suspenders, snap inseam (from 32.5” to 28.5”), and an interior boot gaiter with tab to attach to boots. Available in sizes XS-5XL.

For your Hands

Trail riders have no shortage of choices for keeping hands warm in cold conditions with DSG gloves and mittens. Those that prefer a mitten fit will appreciate the Trail Mitten 3.0, while the Elite Glove is available for free fingers. For added warmth, opt instead for DSG Heat's Heated Glove. These gloves are powered by ActionHeat and comes with two super powerful ActionHeat 5V Power Bank 3000mAh. The heating elements are perfectly positioned along your fingers and thumbs so the heat circulates throughout your entire hand for complete warmth.

Hot hands: Backcountry riders and those with hot hands will want to opt for the Versa Style Glove. The lightweight insulation breaks the wind while providing an uninsulated palm for superior grip. Available in obsidian or quartz, and in sizes XS-XL, these gloves also are a great option for trailer loading and unloading, or any active outdoor winter activities.

Layers

This year’s D-tech Crewneck Base Layer Shirt and Pant come in sizes XS-4XL and are available in black/olive or black/stone colorways. The moisture-wicking technology of these pieces keep skin warm and dry, even during heavy exertion. Designed for women, the form-fitting, 4-way stretch material is not a compression fit.

For your head

DSG offers two different styles of balaclava to suit all rider preferences. All utilize the same D-tech base layer technology for warmth and wind protection, but with different fits. The D-tech Base Layer Balaclava protects the head and neck, while a minimal opening allows for clear vision on and off the trail. The Hinged Balaclava is similar, with the exception of the hinged mouth panel that easily slides down under your chin during stops and periods of heavy breathing.

Casuals: Keep your head warm when your helmet is off with DSG’s Pom Beanie or variety of Fold Over Beanies. Warm, soft and fashionable, these hats are perfect for any winter occasion. Plus, they easily fit in stockings!

For your feet

Keep your feet warm on and off the trail with the DSG Rime Boot, available in sizes 6-11. Equipped with 3M Thinsulate insulation, at an ideal weight of 800 grams, the coziness of these boots is doubled down with the soft, faux fur interior lining. A toe cap provides extra wear protection, while the outsole has enough traction to get you across snow and ice. Each pair comes with four different shoe lace colors for individual customization.

Pair it with: Heavy Weight or Mid-Weight Snow Socks. Buy a pair of one (or both!) for your favorite snowmobiler. These socks are soft, breathable, odor resistant, and don’t shrink or itch. Achieve warm, dry, and comfortable feet all day long.
